Overview

Hajj in Uganda has moved to an advance-booking system: register early, complete milestone payments, submit documents correctly and on time, and travel with confidence—no more last-minute “pay today, fly tomorrow.”

About “Hajj On Time”

“Hajj On Time” was launched on 14 July 2025 at BMK Café, Hotel Africana. The campaign is spearheaded by Maqam Travels in partnership with the Uganda Bureau of Hajj Affairs (UBHA) to ensure organised, timely preparation for Ugandan pilgrims. In 2025, Uganda sent 1,200 pilgrims out of an allocation of 11,000, and 222 were left behind due to late visa payments—reinforcing why early planning matters.

What changed & why it matters

  • Early booking is mandatory: Seats, visas, flights, and accommodation are coordinated in advance under KSA Ministry guidance and through Uganda’s official channel (UBHA).
  • Firm timelines: Missing a step can mean missing the journey; early planning helps you avoid visa delays and sold-out flights.
  • Verified operators only: Book with recognised Ugandan Hajj companies to avoid fraud and last-minute heartbreak.

Your next steps

  1. Reserve your seat: Start early on register.
  2. Complete your profile: Passport details, photos, next-of-kin, and required health info.
  3. Pay in milestones: Follow the schedule so airlines, hotels, and ground services can be confirmed.
  4. Prepare well: Attend orientations, watch preparation videos (Imam Kyeyune), and review ritual steps.

How Maqam protects your journey

  • Official guidance: We coordinate in line with UBHA processes and Saudi guidelines.
  • Transparent payments: Clear milestones, receipts, and real-time status on your portal.
  • Document support: We help you submit the right requirements—correctly and on time.
  • Zero guesswork: Roadmap, FAQs, and checklists in one place.

Common pitfalls to avoid

  • Paying the wrong people: Only pay through Maqam’s official channels; keep stamped receipts.
  • Last-minute deposits: Late payments risk losing flights or accommodation.
  • Unverified agents: If they can’t prove recognition in Uganda’s Hajj ecosystem, don’t hand over your passport or money.

Plan early. Travel assured. With Maqam Travels you get clarity before the journey—and peace of mind all the way to Makkah.
